Who writes our content
Guides are drafted by our clearing and freight staff from their day-to-day work on real files.
Who reviews it
Every guide is reviewed before publication by a licensed customs house agent on our team. Reviewers check rates, procedures and legal references against current Ghana Revenue Authority practice and official sources.
Sources
We rely first on primary sources: the Ghana Revenue Authority, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, regulatory agencies, the World Customs Organization and the ICC. Each guide lists its sources.
Updates
Guides show a "last reviewed" date. We review them when tax or customs rules change, such as the VAT Act, 2025 that took effect on 1 January 2026, and at least once a year.
Limits
Guides are general information, not a customs ruling or legal advice. Rates and procedures can change, and outcomes depend on your specific goods and documents.
